Recommended for guinea-pigs over one year of age, XV is high in protein, but low in fat, as guinea-pigs are inclined to put on weight. Vitamins are added in chelated form, which protects them from decomposition, and makes them more readily available to the guinea pig. This includes Vitamin C which they must have in their diet, as they cannot synthesize it themselves.
One packet of XV will last a typical guinea pig 25 days.
